Happy tote day!

June's tote day is already here! Bought my large tote this morning at lunch with no problems at all.  My chosens were the Fun and Fresh tank in black elephant (to pair with my mint skinnies) and the cool contrast dress in black. I also was able to get a pair of boyfriend jeans and added on the cool cutout shirt in white.  YAY!  I'm excited as always for my tote.  I'm heading out on vacation as well so I'll have plenty to distract me from obsessively checking its status.

Worked this weekend and had one of my strangest requests ever.  Lady (comes in all the time, we don't fill rxs for her and she's a bit...ok a lot odd) came in and came to the drop off window. She proceeds to set a smoke detector down on my counter and asks me to fix it. Um, ok.  I couldn't get the battery door open and wasn't going to mess around with it much because if I broke it, the world would have probably ended.  Propane tank at the high rise apartment building across the street from us caught on fire...they evacuated the place, to the front lawn.  Thought it was a bit of a face palm moment but luckily no one got hurt and the building itself didn't explode.

Off to watch last night's Game of Thrones on the elliptical!

Fashion overload! Stitch fix #2, Golden Tote and more!!

Holy cow did I get mail today! Pretty sure everything I have ordered in the past couple weeks showed up today. Sit back, relax and get ready to look at a bunch of pictures!  My phone isn't flipping the pics correctly so they look kinda squished. I'm really not THAT short and squat! :)

Stitch fix Fix #2
I received my second fix today just in time before I leave on vacation.  If you've never heard of Stitch Fix the basic gist is you fill out a survey, pay a $20 styling fee, and they send you 5 items based on that profile and your Pinterest board (if you have one).  I'm not getting paid by StitchFix for my opinions. They are honest and all my own (hubbster is working nights).  If you would like, I do have a referral link.  Stitch fix referral

I was kind of meh on this fix to tell the truth. Might have been due to the awesome totes I got and tried on first but still...Here's what I got!

Both of these items were in my fix.  The skinnies are more than I spend on jeans (ever) but I'm beginning to realize that you do get better quality stuff.  Anywho, they are made by DL1961 and are the Moscow skinny jean.  They have modal in them which makes them super soft. They also had a nice amount of stretch.  Verdict: Kept

Also in the picture is the Pixley Digby Embroidered Halter Top.  It was a very cute item.  Would have required some bra alteration but I have plenty that convert to a halter.  The problem was with the fit.  I'm a busty gal and this shirt was actually too big for the girls/my chest! I actually had about an extra inch on both sides under my arms. It made for a very odd look to the shirt.  Here you can kinda see it.

Verdict:  Returned

Next item was the Papermoon Holland Zipper Detail Blouse.  This top was featured in one of the Stitch Fix blog posts about preppy styling.  They had paired it with white jeans, which I specifically requested to no luck. I paired it with the great skinnies they did send though.

Cute top but I just wasn't in love.  It was a very basic piece and it would have many places I could use it but my problem is I don't see me actually using it.  Verdict:  Returned

The next thing I got was the Heathrow Hammered Bar Cuff by Zad. I'm not sure if this piece was bendable, I didn't want to try it because I knew it was going back.  This cuff was ginormous on my super petite wrist. It fit on my arm almost at the elbow!  Cute bracelet but with the size issue and the fact I got a very similar product from GoldenTote, it had to go back.  Verdict:Returned

The last thing I got was a Renee C Huebert Space Dye Open Cardigan.  Yes, I live in the northern part of the United States, however it does get quite warm here in the summer.  I probably wouldn't use this item until the fall.  I have other Renee C products but this one fit kinda weird in the forearms. It was too tight there (apparently I have weird arms).  I took a picture of this with one of my GoldenTote items so it's a perfect transition from Stitch Fix to GT. :)

The dress was one of my chosen items this month, but I'll discuss those more in a bit.  As far as the cardigan goes, it went back. Cute but not something I need.  Verdict:Returned

So like I said, a meh fix.  I'm thinking I need to change my profile some.  I don't like the things they have in the romantic picture but I do like lace/crochet details.  I indicated I'd like more fun summery stuff and that my workplace is a sauna in the summer. Hopefully #3 will be better.

On to GoldenTote! This was much better than my most recent fix. GoldenTote is kind of like Stitch Fix in that you fill out a questionnaire about your tastes but with this you pick out 2 chose a for a large tote or 1 for a small.  Their stylists then pick out surprise items for you. 1 if a small tote, 3 or 4 for a large.  I splurged this mint and picked up two totes since I wanted some cute stuff for my vacation.  Here's tote one!

Chosen #1 was the black All Occasions dress.  That is the dress I paired with the cardi from StitchFix.  Here's it without anything added and with a belt!

I absolutely love this dress. It is a beautiful fabric and is super easy to dress up or down.

Chosen #2 Boyfriend shorts by Just Black

Another item I fell in love with right away. These are also super soft and comfy. They have a fair amount of stretch to them and I was glad I sized down to a medium.  I have the shorts paired with a surprise item by Le Lis. This looks like a perfect outfit for a baseball game!

The back of this tank was super cool also.

Also in this tote I got one of my surprise requests!  I've never tried that before but was pleasantly surprised!  The item I requested was an Owl Printed Top by Le Lis.  I paired it with a Tea and Rose solid Midi Skirt I was sent in charcoal as a surprise as well.  Not too sure about the length of the midi skirt but I figure I can just pull it up higher if I need to.

Making a guest appearance is Mylo. :)

The last item I received in this tote was a Potters Pot High Low Tie Waist dress.  This went down kinda low but I'm sure I have a different bra that would work.

Onto the second tote!

My first chosen for this tote was an item that I'm not too sure about.  The fit is a bit wonky.  The top/middle section feels baggier than I thought it would be.  This is the To Tie-Dye For Dress by Le Lis.

I'm just not sure on this one.  Maybe it'll grow on me. It's not bad, it's just not as good as I would have thought!

My second chosen item is perhaps one of my favorite dresses ever.  The trading board I belong to always raves about the Puella dresses.  I took the plunge and got one for myself this month.  They were right!  I did size down on this item and I'm hoping I can add on another one (or two) of the other available colors.  This is the Puella Mixed Media Swing Dress.

My surprises in this tote were outstanding for the most part.  I requested the Renee C Striped Short Sleeve Sweater and my stylist came through!  Here it is paired with my amazing boyfriend shorts!

It's a bit larger than I was expecting but I still love it!

My next item I hadn't seen on the boards before.  It is one of my favorite pieces!  Le Lis oversized tank with lace strap detail.  It is a gorgeous Aqua color with a floral print.

And yes, those are the boyfriend shorts!

My last two surprises from this tote were kind of meh.  One was the Grifflin Paris geometric shift dress and the other is a Very J v-neck tunic (with pockets!).

One I need to lose a bit more weight for and the other is in serious need of accessories!

I did get some a cessorieyfrom GT and I also got a free we're sorry gift that looked eerily similar to my StitchFix bracelet (but actually fit!)

I have more from a Mint Julep order and a Pinkblush order but I need to go to bed!  I'll post those tomorrow more than likely!

Thinking I should add phashion to my title?

Work was fairly stellar today other than the super drunk people and usual little old lady. Ok, the little old lady wasn't bad...she's just a character. Also got a counsel bomb...older gentleman with dementia that they prescribed Spiriva for. I foresee bad things happening. I had my show and tell device and went through the whole process but I'm worried about how many of those capsules are going to get swallowed.

My GT should show up at work on Saturday and StitchFix on Monday. Be prepared! Today was chilly outside, so I was able to rock one of my new long sleeved shirts from pinkblush. Felt super cute today, which is rare for me to admit! Here's me!

Surprise back!

Woooo!

Work was its usual blech today. We've been kind of slow lately. I did more dusting today.. Yay. I'd rather be doing something though.  Got a mispick from one of our wholesalers. Instead of divalproex I got flea medication for really big dogs (89-139 lbs). Pretty sure it had an Irish Wolfhound on the box. :) also managed to get a package sent back to us because I put the wrong label on it...and shipped it from the drug store to the drug store.  Oops. My boss laughed at me. :)

GT update!  Last night I finally decided to ask the customer service person in the trading group about my still pending tote. No idea what had happened but today my tote went from processing to shipping. I'm kinda guessing it was probably processed and just got lost in the shuffle. It's also shipping USPS, the much quicker option. Guessing I'll have it next week in plenty of time to go on vacation!

I also received my Grab Bag from White Plum. Got two cute dresses and a red belt as my accessory. The accessory was a but of a cop out in that it just came with the dress but oh well.  The dress with the belt is also WAY outside my comfort zone. So what did I do? Wore it today to work. Got complements but still felt a little odd. What gets me out of my comfort zone? Animal print.  I know I didn't look trashy but I just...let's just say I got through the day. It was a high low dress also which I adore.  I also got a Lumiere maxi in fuschia. The awesome thing about the maxi? It's totally the right length! What this means for anyone who is 5'4" or taller I'm not sure but it's great for me!

StitchFix also sent me my notice that it has shipped! Going to be an awesome week next week! Of course I cheated and looked at my invoice. I'm intrigued by what is in there but a bit apprehensive also. I will be doing a reveal of everything! Going to be some picture loaded posts!

Speaking of pictures, here's a couple of the dresses I got!

Eeek! Animal print!

Pink maxi

Toesies! Without heels! :)

Ugh

Day after a holiday always brings the dreaded backlog of folks at the pharmacy. Today however really wasn't that bad! There were 80 rxs waiting for me on the batch and only 2 erxs so overall not too awful.  Was through most of it by the time I went to lunch.  Several crabbies as always but nothing really awful to deal with.  Worst thing of my day was probably trying to track down information for a patient on meds she picked up while she was overseas. Two of the drugs weren't available in the U.S. Not sure if she's trying to claim them to her insurance or what but the funny part is she very rarely gets meds from us because she's always worried about side effects. Apparently, side effects aren't a big deal when you're in another country. Meh.

Got an order from pink blush today. One item didn't work with the bra I have on but I've got a minimizer that will probably work. Stupid boobs! The rest were awesome though. So 3 out of 4 really isn't too bad. My GT is still pending. I'm thinking there is no way I'm going to get that before I head out on my vacation. Boo hiss. I was really hoping to wear a couple things but oh well.  Other folks are showing their reveals and I've liked a lot of what I've seen. Apparently I was picky with my style profile which is taking longer? Who knows. Just hoping for some super cute stuff. Sigh.

Much needed long weekend

Today's planned activities:  lounging around, enjoying the sunshine, and working out at some point.  That is all. :)

DH is golfing this morning so I'm reading and indulging Mylo in his let's go in/let's go out routine. We're currently in. :)

Friday was a short day of work for me.  Had a jerk of a patient who has lectured me twice about the differences in bioavailability. Both times I felt like commenting that there can be up to twenty percent difference between lots of the same manufacturer as well, but I held my tongue like a good little girl being berated.  I also had the wonder of cryptic faxes. Got a PA rejection notice from a doctor's office. The suggested alternative the patient needed to try and fail was circled on the fax but no new prescription was given. And I was supposed to interpret the circle how?!? Please don't waste my time and yours. Write a prescription if you're going to or don't circle the drug!

Went to a new boutique downtown and bought a super cute tank top. Also bought some much needed undergarments for some of my new clothes. My GT is still pending, meaning it hasn't even been started yet.  Really hoping to get it before my vacation but think that is probably not going to happen.  Did a horrible run yesterday but made it through. I'm thinking I need to do a race at some point. Any good 5ks coming up?

Is it the weekend yet?!?

I'm officially over my people limit. I always get this way towards the end of my 8 day stretch and this week was no different. I'm sorry but if you are under 40 years old, you can split your own gosh darn pills.  Your insurance doesn't care that you're heading out of town unless you're heading out of the country.  I'm glad your last drug store gave you a charge account but that doesn't mean I'm obligated to. If the person with the charge account has staff and you want to know what they charged, ask them. If the phone is ringing and I'm typing and you drop off an Rx, you can't be mad when I tell you 15 minutes. We open at 8, not a couple minutes to 8 since you're there and telling us repeatedly that you called in the prescription isn't going to make us find it any faster. In fact, if you're snotty about it, it just might take longer. We are humans too. Have some kindness and patience for your fellow human being! Ok, rant over.

Got my first order from Jane yesterday! Two super cute 3/4 sleeve dolman tops. Love them. Wore the navy one today with khakis and a coral chevron scarf. Tomorrow I think some jewelry might come in and who knows where my very first order is! No movement on my GT order yet. Did get an email that my Fix is being started soon. All of this activity means my vacation is coming up!!! Wooooo!

Hope everyone enjoys a long weekend! I know I can't wait!
