Thinking I should add phashion to my title?

Work was fairly stellar today other than the super drunk people and usual little old lady. Ok, the little old lady wasn't bad...she's just a character. Also got a counsel bomb...older gentleman with dementia that they prescribed Spiriva for. I foresee bad things happening. I had my show and tell device and went through the whole process but I'm worried about how many of those capsules are going to get swallowed.

My GT should show up at work on Saturday and StitchFix on Monday. Be prepared! Today was chilly outside, so I was able to rock one of my new long sleeved shirts from pinkblush. Felt super cute today, which is rare for me to admit! Here's me!

Surprise back!

Woooo!

Work was its usual blech today. We've been kind of slow lately. I did more dusting today.. Yay. I'd rather be doing something though.  Got a mispick from one of our wholesalers. Instead of divalproex I got flea medication for really big dogs (89-139 lbs). Pretty sure it had an Irish Wolfhound on the box. :) also managed to get a package sent back to us because I put the wrong label on it...and shipped it from the drug store to the drug store.  Oops. My boss laughed at me. :)

GT update!  Last night I finally decided to ask the customer service person in the trading group about my still pending tote. No idea what had happened but today my tote went from processing to shipping. I'm kinda guessing it was probably processed and just got lost in the shuffle. It's also shipping USPS, the much quicker option. Guessing I'll have it next week in plenty of time to go on vacation!

I also received my Grab Bag from White Plum. Got two cute dresses and a red belt as my accessory. The accessory was a but of a cop out in that it just came with the dress but oh well.  The dress with the belt is also WAY outside my comfort zone. So what did I do? Wore it today to work. Got complements but still felt a little odd. What gets me out of my comfort zone? Animal print.  I know I didn't look trashy but I just...let's just say I got through the day. It was a high low dress also which I adore.  I also got a Lumiere maxi in fuschia. The awesome thing about the maxi? It's totally the right length! What this means for anyone who is 5'4" or taller I'm not sure but it's great for me!

StitchFix also sent me my notice that it has shipped! Going to be an awesome week next week! Of course I cheated and looked at my invoice. I'm intrigued by what is in there but a bit apprehensive also. I will be doing a reveal of everything! Going to be some picture loaded posts!

Speaking of pictures, here's a couple of the dresses I got!

Eeek! Animal print!

Pink maxi

Toesies! Without heels! :)

Ugh

Day after a holiday always brings the dreaded backlog of folks at the pharmacy. Today however really wasn't that bad! There were 80 rxs waiting for me on the batch and only 2 erxs so overall not too awful.  Was through most of it by the time I went to lunch.  Several crabbies as always but nothing really awful to deal with.  Worst thing of my day was probably trying to track down information for a patient on meds she picked up while she was overseas. Two of the drugs weren't available in the U.S. Not sure if she's trying to claim them to her insurance or what but the funny part is she very rarely gets meds from us because she's always worried about side effects. Apparently, side effects aren't a big deal when you're in another country. Meh.

Got an order from pink blush today. One item didn't work with the bra I have on but I've got a minimizer that will probably work. Stupid boobs! The rest were awesome though. So 3 out of 4 really isn't too bad. My GT is still pending. I'm thinking there is no way I'm going to get that before I head out on my vacation. Boo hiss. I was really hoping to wear a couple things but oh well.  Other folks are showing their reveals and I've liked a lot of what I've seen. Apparently I was picky with my style profile which is taking longer? Who knows. Just hoping for some super cute stuff. Sigh.

Much needed long weekend

Today's planned activities:  lounging around, enjoying the sunshine, and working out at some point.  That is all. :)

DH is golfing this morning so I'm reading and indulging Mylo in his let's go in/let's go out routine. We're currently in. :)

Friday was a short day of work for me.  Had a jerk of a patient who has lectured me twice about the differences in bioavailability. Both times I felt like commenting that there can be up to twenty percent difference between lots of the same manufacturer as well, but I held my tongue like a good little girl being berated.  I also had the wonder of cryptic faxes. Got a PA rejection notice from a doctor's office. The suggested alternative the patient needed to try and fail was circled on the fax but no new prescription was given. And I was supposed to interpret the circle how?!? Please don't waste my time and yours. Write a prescription if you're going to or don't circle the drug!

Went to a new boutique downtown and bought a super cute tank top. Also bought some much needed undergarments for some of my new clothes. My GT is still pending, meaning it hasn't even been started yet.  Really hoping to get it before my vacation but think that is probably not going to happen.  Did a horrible run yesterday but made it through. I'm thinking I need to do a race at some point. Any good 5ks coming up?

Is it the weekend yet?!?

I'm officially over my people limit. I always get this way towards the end of my 8 day stretch and this week was no different. I'm sorry but if you are under 40 years old, you can split your own gosh darn pills.  Your insurance doesn't care that you're heading out of town unless you're heading out of the country.  I'm glad your last drug store gave you a charge account but that doesn't mean I'm obligated to. If the person with the charge account has staff and you want to know what they charged, ask them. If the phone is ringing and I'm typing and you drop off an Rx, you can't be mad when I tell you 15 minutes. We open at 8, not a couple minutes to 8 since you're there and telling us repeatedly that you called in the prescription isn't going to make us find it any faster. In fact, if you're snotty about it, it just might take longer. We are humans too. Have some kindness and patience for your fellow human being! Ok, rant over.

Got my first order from Jane yesterday! Two super cute 3/4 sleeve dolman tops. Love them. Wore the navy one today with khakis and a coral chevron scarf. Tomorrow I think some jewelry might come in and who knows where my very first order is! No movement on my GT order yet. Did get an email that my Fix is being started soon. All of this activity means my vacation is coming up!!! Wooooo!

Hope everyone enjoys a long weekend! I know I can't wait!

Life is more than a blur.

My CFDA box came in the mail today....and promptly was dropped off at FedEx with its return label. Had to call my Mom to let her know about the box.  She was about as excited as I was and also couldn't believe the contents were as bad as they were. We both concurred someone has probably lost a job over this debacle.

Work sucked today. Combination of super slow and the awfulness of getting played by an addict.  I knew she was playing me, she knew I knew, but it was my story against hers, and there was nothing I could do. My favorite was the no limp on the way in, and the exaggerated limp on the way out. Addicts are just super frustrating to me. There is so much more to live for. Yes, pain is real and chronic but taking too much consistently makes me sad. She said on her way out that she was moving...and sadly a small part of me was glad.

My parting remark...life is too precious to waste. If you need help, get it.

Totes, boxes, disappointments and redemption

I received my May POPSUGAR box this week! Absolutely love the items. Also bought a sweater and dress from the lovely ladies in the GT trading group. I've already worn the sweater-a blush/cream sweater from Lumiere. It's super soft and comfy and was great for the cooler weather we've had lately. Paired it with a gray pencil skirt an a necklace that I got from work. So, those things were YAY!

And then the bad.  The spoilers were released for the CFDA box that I was so excited about....and the excitement faded quickly.  The contents were nowhere near as great as I thought they would be. In fact, I thought the stuff was kinda crummy. So I emailed the company...along with quite a few other folks. For once, a company listened to their customers and they are accepting returns on the box.  They even attached my mailing label to the email. I'm usually not one of those super complainers, in fact I'm usually really good at seeing the bright side....but this was such a letdown I couldn't just let it slide.  My box is actually still in transit but as soon as I have it, it'll be going back. Some of you out there probably thinking it's silly of me to just send it back but I totally can't see myself using a 70 dollar burlap shopping bag...

To make matters even worse, this all happened on Monday...which was supposed to be tote day. Their systems crashed and burned...so tote day was postponed. Just wasn't my day!

However! They moved tote day to today! It's my day off so I was on right away. Had a couple issues ordering but ended up splurging and getting two totes (hey, I'm sending my box back...it's justified!). I did make an error and missed the fact that the white bf jeans were back in stock and a dress I wanted also but I'm sure it'll be fine. One of my requests in my StitchFix was white jeans so hopefully it'll work out!

I also bought a couple things from a new company that I was just introduced to, Jane.  They had a mystery grab bag from west plum for 15 with shipping. I also picked out a couple shirts and necklaces.  I'm not out much if I don't like the stuff. Hopefully it'll be better than my ModCloth grab bag...although I did try on the beautiful coat they sent me and I can button the waist button now! By fall, maybe it'll work?!? :)

As far as work goes, my boss is gone so I'm taking over a lot of her stuff. No pressure there!  Had my usual uneventful evening with just a hiccup or two with one phone call from a particularly challenging customer.  Since I had the day off though I didn't have to deal with it today! Awful of me, I know.  No idea how the weekend will go.  Supposed to be warm and thunderstorms on Saturday, cooler again on Sunday. There are quite a few grad parties in the area. Kinda hoping for a quiet weekend to tell the truth! Fairly newb intern always creates more work.

So that's me in a nutshell! I'm wondering if my GT or StitchFix will come first. Reviews will come regardless!

Shopping spree?

Alright, I may have a problem. I have been addicted to adding new stuff to my closet and weeding old stuff out. I mean seriously, a plaid button down shirt from high school? I think it's time to let that go. I have a box to donate already and enjoy an idea that I found on another blog. She purged 95% of her closet and only puts stuff that she loves back in. It's inspiring actually. However, the replacing part is so much fun. I purchased two items from the wonderful GT trading site-a cute lightweight blush and cream sweater and a different Promesa maxi. I also found a deal on a discount boutique website for 2 pieces of clothing and one accessory for $15 shipped. Hopefully that will go better than the ModCloth one that I did.

My POPSUGAR boxes have shipped! My May box is currently in Maple Grove, MN and my CFDA box is in Utah! I've already seen the May spoilers so I know the contents of that one but there haven't been any spoilers for the CFDA box. I did notice on the tracking that the CFDA box is over 5 lbs!!! What is it going to be?!?? I can hardly contain myself. Told my mom about it and she wants me to call and let her know what's in it. I think I'm drawing more people into my addiction.

Workouts have still been a regular thing. I do have a level of frustration but know the only thing I can do is keep going.  DH was frustrated with his running today, which is rare and weird. I'm now considering medium sized stuff which excites me. GT is Monday and there's a couple things that if I order, I'll probably order a medium. Granted, one is a swing dress that looks fairly large...but who's counting!

Have had another great relaxing weekend.

The value of a good tech...

Pharmacy technicians. They can make your life immensely easier or be the source of grumblies. My current is definitely more the latter. She's a great pill counter...but that's the extent to her work a lot of the time. Mornings consist of me running the rx, checking the rx, putting it in a bag, then on the shelf, and putting the stock bottle away. As a pharmacist, I have been spoiled with good techs, I understand that. I think that's what makes it even worse. The pharmacists always are the ones to complete our partial fills and complete finishing putting away the order. Sigh. Maybe I'm just being irritable.

Golden tote released their spoilers and I'm super meh. Lots of the stuff looks like it needs a strapless/backless bra. Ugh. Never had a comfy strapless bra And with my girls I'm not even sure it's possible. There's also a lot of stuff that doesn't look short person friendly. I mean when the dress comes to the knees of the model, its going to be super long on me. I also am not understanding everyone's obsession with the puella dresses. I'm thinking I would look super tentish. We'll see. Tote day is next Monday.

Saw the spoilers for the May Pop Sugar box and I think it looks great! The site I was reading had quite a few commenters that didn't like the stuff but I'm excited. Still haven't been any CFDA spoilers. Wondering when both will ship.

Ran/walked a bunch tonight. 4.29 miles.  Wasn't too bad. My legs have almost fully recovered from my stupid amount of squats. I am slightly frustrated with my working out and results lately. I've pretty much lost a pants size but just feel stagnant right now, if not a bit heavier. I'm not weighing myself, so don't know where I'm at there. The important thing is to keep working I guess.

GO WILD!

Great Weekend

Currently enjoying a wonderful weekend off.  My parents came up and my Mom and I spent the afternoon shopping at the Fargo Public Library book sale. Can't beat fifty cents for a paperback! We had gone to the West Fargo sale about a month ago and here's what we learned.  If you're looking for children's books (little kid picture book types), West Fargo was WAY better.  Adult books, Fargo was amazing. A lot of the books were recent and I couldn't resist a cookbook!

My GoldenTote did get here on Friday! Unfortunately, it showed up AFTER I was done with work. Mom and I did go on to pick it up before book shopping. I got her intrigued about it as well. :)  I have pictures of the stuff but haven't uploaded anything yet. Lazy, I know. I got a large tote this time and love everything but two tops. One I'm meh on and the other is a bit less than meh. Next sale is on May 11, which time wise actually might work a bit better for me. I'll be on lunch about half an hour after the sale starts. The spoilers I've seen haven't turned my crank but there haven't been too many yet. If nothing else, I might be able to get some other stuff.

My frustration now is going to be that I am clothing fixless until Juneish now. I do have my May POPSUGAR box and the CFDA edition so hopefully that will feed my addiction enough!  Maybe reading will suffice. (Currently, I'm reading Blue Adept as a nostalgic trip down memory lane. Probably some of the first fantasy writing I've read).

StitchFix Fix #1

Yay! My first Fix came yesterday! So, without further delay, here's my fix! (Please note-I'm not being paid by StitchFix for the review and all of the opinions are mine or my hubby's alone.) If you've never heard of StitchFix, here's the gist:  you pay a $20 styling fee and your stylist sends out 5 picks of clothing/accessories/purses after you've filled out a big survey they have on their website. The stuff they send is based on your answers and requests. I also use my Pinterest style board to show stuff to my stylist that I like. Once the fix comes, try everything on. Keep what you like, send back what you don't.  If you keep all 5 items, you get a 25% discount. The $20 styling fee also goes towards your purchase if you decide to keep items. If you don't, you're out the styling fee. Make sense?

My box came at work because I have everything delivered there as there's always a person there to sign for the delivery. I live in a perfectly wonderful neighborhood however I don't like to tempt fate. I didn't take a picture of the box and stuff all wrapped up. You'll just have to trust me that it came in the pretty box with the mint and white interior. The package also comes with a note from your stylist and little cards with styling suggestions. Trust me when I say I need all the help I can get!

Item #1 Renee C Gabe Maxi Skirt

Ok, so I can't figure out how to rotate the picture, but if you look closely at the bottom, you'll see the lovely pool of fabric at my feet. Skirt was beautiful, teal and periwinkle stripes. Fabric was super duper soft but woah baby there was a lot of skirt!

Status:  Returned (with sadness)

Item #2 Fun2Fun Sonoma Sleeveless Top

This one you don't even get to see on. Once again, I love this top but the fit was wrong. I'm a fairly busty gal and this smooshed them in like none other. The bottom was perfectly loose and flowy. The top, not so much. This was on my Pinterest board as an item that I liked.

Status:  Returned (also with sadness)

Item #3 41Hawthorn Berneen Printed Dolman Sleeve Top

Big oops for me here. I forgot to take a picture of me in it. Neither the hubby nor I liked it. It looked like I needed a much longer torso to make this work. The fabric clung and bunched weirdly in my midsection. Here's a picture of the styling card though.

Oh for the love of Pete, this interface isn't liking me today. Yay center justified that I can't get to turn off!

Status:  Returned

Item #4 Fun2Fun Isabelle Crochet Tank Top

My hubby and I disagreed on this one. I thought it was cute and different than anything I own. He wasn't a fan at all.  Upon closer inspection of the item however I noticed a really big snag. Pretty easy to have happen with a crocheted top, I'm sure. I probably would have kept this if it wasn't for that.

Picture of part of the snag. The string actually pretty much ran from the top of the shirt all the way to almost the bottom.

Status:  Returned (with sadness)

Item #5 THML Chana Dress

And we have a winner!!  This dress is super cute. Detailing around the neckline and hem. Short but not too short. Nice and flowy. Maybe try with a belt for more definition? Who knows! Hubby's first reaction was "I'd take you out in that!" It will work for so many things-work, date night, Jamaica, maybe even a nice dinner out on our upcoming baseball trip! Great dress!!

Status:  Kept!! (Super excited!)

So there you have it. My first fix and I do believe I am hooked. I switched my account from me scheduling to them and currently have every 2-3 weeks picked. We'll see how that goes. I can always scale back. I was super bummed when I couldn't schedule my next fix until June 1.  As I've said before, patience is not my best virtue. Oh, and if you're wondering, my GoldenTote is still in California according to the UPS tracking. So it's made it from one California town to another. Estimated delivery is May 1. I'm not holding my breath. Next tote day for them is May 4th I believe? Might take a month off depending. I ordered on tote day in April and it really didn't get me anywhere! I might just wait for restocked items also. Frustrating.
