StitchFix: Fix #4

I'm starting with a friendly pharmacist PSA.  If I tell you that it will take a half hour to fill your prescription, believe me, I'm no happy about it either.  It means we're swamped and I'd rather give you an overestimate than tell you 10 minutes and have you there for 30.  I'm really not trying to ruin your day, we can only go so fast.  Also faster=more chances for mistakes....anywho, onto my fix!

My fix came a day early, which considering how the mail has been lately is amazing.  I had cheated but didn't look very well at what I was getting.  If you aren't familiar with StitchFix, the basic gist is you fill out information and a stylist sends you clothing based on that profile.  Here's a Referral Link if you're feeling ultra generous!  :)
Here are the styling cards!
And the list of goodies
Not much color involved...the pink and yellow in the background is my purse.  :)
First item I tried was the blazer.  Think it's a bit too big for me and not all that flattering.
Second and third items I tried:  the top by collective concepts and pants by RD style.
Fourth item is this tank by Pixley.  I like this a lot and wanted stuff for under cardigans and blazers.
Last item and a super horrible picture.  Twisted seam sweater by RD style and a better shot of the pants.

So, what's my plan?  I think I'm going to keep the Collective Concepts blouse.  I like the tank also but feel like some of the details would be lost wearing it under stuff.  What do you think?  I strongly dislike the last sweater.  It's too short and gaps/sags at the boobs.  The pants are not what I consider
pants.  Yes they have a zipper and a button but they're leggings.  Not exactly what I need for work.  And as I mentioned I think the blazer is too big.  I have lost quite a bit of weight and haven't the slightest idea what I actually weigh so it's a bit hard to fill out some of the profile stuff.  So, keep one or keep two?

Tis the season

Too many sales!!!  I've definitely treated myself a ton this holiday season.  Going to try a Skivvy box, however there will be no reveal on that one.
Work was meh this weekend.  Missed an amazing Bison game but could at least listen to it.  Had some interesting folks...guy who I'm pretty sure was drunk with spider bites, dad looking for the key to getting rid of lice, lady wondering how much water she should drink with her pills, etc.  Nothing too complicated but tiring nonetheless.

A couple OOTDs
Moxie cardigan, GT necklace
Relish top, Moxie olive skinnies

Moxie Kinda Mystery Reveal!

Had a day off today.  Yay!  It was for two funerals.  Boo.  I'm not going to lie, it was nice.  Monday was crazy and everyone is already imitating Veruca Salt.  I want it and I want it now.  I swear I'm not purposely going slowly on filling your prescriptions to tork you off.  A little patience and kindness goes a LONG way.  We also received our first significant snowfall yesterday and today.  Super wet snow...yuck.

First my OOTD from today's funerals
Cherish cardigan from Moxie, necklace from Relish, tank from LOFT, pants (that fit!), from Poshmark.
Moxie mystery reveal!
The reason I say kinda mystery is I actually picked out 4 of the 8 items.  Moxie is doing away with the mystery option though and just putting the inventory out there for purchase.  I understand but will miss the mystery option.  They are going to be doing a StitchFix like box though. Here's the stuff!

OOTD from Monday-Moxie sweater by Geegee

Red Fantastic Fawn blazer...took a risk with a medium.  Didn't pay off.
Green Cherish cardigan I also wore today.  So soft and pretty!
Grey cardigan with cool details

Close up of details

Staccato cardigan...I picked this one.  It's ok but big.

Skies are blue cardigan I picked.  Love but....

It has a snag.  :(

Pixley cardigan I picked.  Also a bit big but doable.

Fantastic Fawn tie dye cardigan.  Cute!

Chris and Carol tie dye tunic.  I picked this and love!

Peach Love suede like dress.  Will wear with leggings (probably tomorrow?) So soft and love.

I'm starting to have sizing issues again and I can't bring myself to order anything in a small.  Yay though...great motivation!

Moxie is having a sale on Sunday this weekend that should be great.  I can try and help if you have any questions!  Highlighted in the ad for it are brands like Cherish, Mavi, Staccato, and Lovestitch.  At least worth a check out!  :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy thanksgiving to everyone out there!  DH and I are enjoying a quiet day to ourselves...shhh...don't tell.  So, no current OOTD but I'll post older ones in a bit.

Pharmacy rant time....was called to the cash register because we had an angry customer telling us we filled something wrong.  It was a weird eye scrub thing but had vague directions of apply one application daily.  I pulled out the hard copy and that was exactly what the rx was written for, in other words not MY error.  To compound matters, the picker-upper refused counseling on the rx to replace the incorrect rx by saying it's not for her so she'd just have to tell the person everything anyways.  Wrong drug would have been fixed if you would have accepted counseling on the first drug.  I can tell you didn't by the reaction you gave when I attempted to counsel on this new prescription....so once again, not MY error.  If you just walk away from me when I come around to counsel, not MY fault.  Insert pissed off grumble here. I have an additional rant but I'll save it for a bit.  Can't rant too much!

OOTD
This is from Tuesday.  Moxie Fantastic Fawn blazer, GT olive and oak elephant top, and pants from NY & Co.  Pants are approximately a size to a size and a half big and are cinched at the waist with a belt in an attempt to still be able to wear them...Man, do I need new dress pants!

This was from last week sometime!  Hourglass Lily shift from Moxie, scarf from Loft outlet, leggings from Moxie as well.

And my absolute favorite outfit EVER!  I think I look stellar, which is really saying something!  Outfit is all Relish.  Beulah rust motos, thread and supply denim shirt, Grace and Lace scarf.  I super love this outfit...think I can get away with it at work?  Top part is fairly dressy looking and that's all most people see? Probably not, but a girl can dream!

More OOTD

Trendology cardi from Moxie, tank from Target, jeans dl 1961 from SF

Cherish shirt from Relish, scarf from Northport Drug, pants are Gap from years ago (and are too big)

Moxie sweater (I forget the brand) and floral leggings from a GroopDealz grab bag

Should I cancel?

Ok folks, I haven't gotten a StitchFix in forever, largely due to me finding things that are more me out there and at a better price.  I know SF has great stuff but I think I'm going to cancel.  I'm going to try a beta box with Moxie.  Hopefully that comes before my next SF is due and I can make a decision.  Keeping Trendsend at the moment since their stuff is so nice but it's also so spendy!  Thoughts?

Work has majorly sucked lately between being super busy and staying late but never being shown the courtesy of getting to leave early.  Frustrating.  Doctor owes me a muffin basket at at least a edible arrangement. Rx for naloxegol yesterday.  Naloxegol oxalate 25 Sig Take 12.5 to 25 tablets prior to alcohol consumption #30 3 refills.  First I had to see what the heck naloxegol was...enter Google!  Brand name is Movantik.  Hmmm.  Now this makes zero sense.  The sig is just plain effed up.  Pretty obvious you wouldn't want to take 25 tablets.  Pretty sure the drug was supposed to be naltrexone and directions of 1/2 to 1 blah blah blah.  Kicker is I called on this yesterday...hadn't been fixed yet when I left at noon.  Might have peeved off the nurse when I said it was a drug error and a directions error but IT WAS!

Lots of OOTD to share!
Purple Rain dress from Moxie

Hmmm...not cooperating the way I'd like!
Renee C top from Relish, pants super old NY & Co.

Too much cute?

having the exact opposite problem with my current closet.  I have so much awesome stuff it's hard to pick out one outfit!  Here's some recent ones!

Plaid shirt is by Hem and Thread, tank from an outlet store somewhere, jeans are just black gray whiskered skinnies.  Shirt/jeans from Moxie. If you haven't discovered this gem yet, I highly encourage a visit to the website!

Jacket by Esley, shirt by Sugarlips, pants (that are too large) from Bass outlet.  Shirt and jacket came from one of my other favorite companies, Relish.  Really great high quality stuff, I also highly encourage you to check out this site!  Kinda more boho so if that's not your thing, it might not be for you.

From my recent trip!  Dress by Leota from Moxie.  Necklace from Relish.

One more for fun.  Awesome coat from ModCloth mystery box a couple of years ago?

SCORE!

Ah shopping and the hunt for the deal.  I went to Scheel's today to return a too small sports bra and decided to poke around some more while I was there.  I had seen some fleece lined leggings on sale the last time I was there and you can't beat $5 a pair.  Yeah they are springy colors but we all need a little cheering up in winter!  While I was back there I saw the dress rack and lo and behold there was a ReneeC dress that had been marked all the way down to 9.99!  In my basket that went!  And it had a belt with it!  So I had looked at the clearance shoes the last time I was there but it was way more crowded that day.  Decided to go have another look and found a section of boots I had totally missed the last time!  Poked through that a bit and found a pair of 1/2 price Frye boots...in size 7.  What are the chances of that?!?  So I bought myself an expensive pair of high quality boots.  They will last forever and are pretty much flat as well.  They will probably become my go to weekend boot.  :). Went grocery shopping (yuck) and got home.  Checked my email and I had a Relish shipping notice!  Pretty sure my day couldn't get any better!

Evereve Trendsend necklace (gold chain with little silver boxy beads), Kika Paprika dress from GT received in a trade, Heart and Hips striped cocoon cardi from my very first Moxie Mystery box

I hate colds.

Haven't posted in forever again.  Largely because I hate how obnoxious it is to post pictures.  I've gotten loads of cute stuff and have two new favorite companies to buy from.  One is Relish.  www.relishclothing.com. This is a mystery box that is a one woman show!  I have been hooked on this box since it started and I'm proud to be one of the original Relish girls.  The stuff from Relish is kind of along the lines of GT but about a billion times better in terms of quality. The surprise items in the totes seemed to be going downhill and I just hadn't been impressed with much of the GT stuff, especially for the money.  My most recent Relish large box had a coat, a big heavy cardigan, a denim shirt, a work blouse, a dress, a sweater vest tunic that is super on trend for fall but I haven't quite figured out yet, a beautiful scarf, and leg warmers.  All for 200ish full price (coupon codes are occasionally out there also). So far, the coat is my current fall coat and I've worn the dress.  I super love my stuff from Relish!

I also super love a company called Moxie Style.  www.moxie.style. This company has some amazing deals and kick ass customer service.  The trading group is the place to be for this company as they always have something going on!  I can't keep up most of the time!  However I have gotten some great pieces here as well for a ridiculously small amount of money.  I mean a fantastic fawn blazer for ten dollars?!? Heck to the yeah!

If anyone has any urges to see some of my cool stuff, let me know!  And I have a cold....

Fix #3-Fit issues all around....

My StitchFix showed up early! It was slated for Monday but showed up yesterday instead.  I did cheat and look at my shipping list and was really looking forward to this fix.  So, without further ado, fix #3.  (Ps-if you're unaware of StitchFix, here's the gist. You fill out a survey with regards to your personal style and pay a $20 styling fee.  They send you a box with 5 items, that $20 goes towards the cost.  Keep all 5 items, get a 25% discount.)

Items #1 and #2-41Hawthorn studded blouse and Kut from the Kloth boyfriend shorts

I've seen the blouse in quite a few reveals and really liked it on other folks. I liked the white color of the blouse and the subtle pattern.  I was also super excited about the shorts. I've been wanting a darker wash boyfriend short and really liked the distressing.  However, I sensed trouble right away when I pulled them out of the box.

So, the top was too tight in the chest area and sleeves hit at a weird spot.  It actually doesn't look that bad but trust me, moving would have been an issue! The shorts had the exact problem I thought they would.  Too big.  Could pull them away from my waist about an inch or so right out of the box.  After a couple hours of wear I think they might have ended up at my ankles.  I also wonder if they're too long? Feedback on that would be appreciated! I did say maybe size down in my comments on the shorts.

Verdict:  Returned (both)

Item #3-Papermoon Lassie Split Lace top

I'm lazy so I just left the shorts on. I couldn't find a picture of this online when I was looking so this one was a surprise.  I love the color and the idea of the top but it was warm and a bit itchy.  I knew I wouldn't use it until fall at the earliest.  For some reason, the slanty lace also bothered me.

So, now that I'm looking at the pictures today, I actually like this better than I did yesterday.  Maybe I'll request it again once we're closer to fall and cooler temperatures.  It does draw a LOT of attention to my butt, which I'm okay with...stuff to contemplate I guess!

Verdict:  Returned (for now?)

Item #4-Pixley Turk Tank top

I had pinned this on my board pretty much right after StitchFix had posted the picture on Pinterest.  I think it is a great piece that could be dressed up and down just as easily.  I also feel like it is a very classic basic.

Verdict:  Kept!!  Yay!!

Item #5- Mystree Elene Cutout Dress

Um, yeah.  So, I loved the idea of this dress but once again I knew it was trouble out of the box!  WAY too small.  No stretch whatsoever and only a side zipper. I think it would have been wonderful if I could have gotten it over the girls.  I also would probably be stuck in it for forever..  Hanger pictures are all that were possible!

Oh how I wish this had worked!!

Verdict:  Returned

So I'm pretty consistent with my 1 for 5 fixes, although I think the styling was closer to what I am looking for with this fix.  I would have kept all 5 if I could have.  It was fit issues that prevented it.  I have to be moving in the right direction that way!
